Barry Barack Soetoro Obama Dunham Davis Merriam Webster

26 03 2009

Last week we payed homage to PETA’s “sea kittens” when the now discontinued, “enemy combatants,” were redubbed, “undocumented malcontents.”

Well, once again liberalism has out-done us in trying its best to render  “The Onion’s” and OOTB’s political satire, mundane and believable.

Because they’ve insisted that our identity is racist at worst, and judgmental and insensitive at best, liberals have made our language (and culture) mean nothing.

When our language has no meaning, it can be molded to perform political tasks.

And so it is.

For instance, the “War on Terror” should now be referred to as, “Overseas Contingency Operation”

Charles at LGF explains because we’re not kidding…that’s really what BHO wants to call it:

I’m really not sorry to see the phrase “War on Terror” being retired by the Pentagon; it’s always seemed like a complete misnomer. You don’t fight a war against a tactic, you fight against people with an ideology. This battle would have been much better described as the “War on Militant Islam,” but our government is too hobbled by political correctness to ever be that direct and truthful.

Suddenly, “undocumented malcontents” seems like a reasonable suggestion.

Here’s some more leftist attempts to destroy the fabric of our society, from the past week or so:

Stop laughing. We’re still not kidding. And there’s more:

*This should come as no surprise since the California state senate passed a bill in 2006 which banned the words, “mom and dad” from school textbooks, so as not to “reflect adversely on anyone based on sexual orientation or actual or perceived gender.”

Hey it may be the land of confusion but, at least the President isn’t a walking identity crisis in an empty suit who purposefully sends mixed messages to all comers so they can project their beliefs unto him.

No…he knows exactly who he is on the inside.

Is The President Secretly Negotiating A Truce With Al Qaeda

4 02 2009

I’ve always stumped liberals by asking them what they’d be willing to compromise to obtain a truce at a grande peace summit with al Qaeda…that was before I ever imagined a President like BHO.

From WashingtonTimes via CreepingSharia

According to GeostrategyDirect.com, a newsletter published by The Washington Times’ ace national security reporter Bill Gertz, “Diplomatic sources said Barack Obama has engaged several Arab intermediaries to relay messages to and from al Qaeda in the months before his elections as the 44th U.S. president. The sources said al Qaeda has offered what they termed a truce in exchange for a U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan. ‘For the last few months, Obama has been receiving and sending feelers to those close to al Qaeda on whether the group would end its terrorist campaign against the United States,’ a diplomatic source said. ‘Obama sees this as helpful to his plans to essentially withdraw from Afghanistan and Iraq during his first term in office.’ “

Something tells me simply withdrawing from ‘Muslim lands’ won’t satiate their bloodlust since they were pissed at us before we were even there.  Certainly the US wouldn’t be so stupid as to take the pressure off (even NPR says al Qaeda leadership is decimated) and allow them to re-arm…would we?

Yay! We Did It!

23 01 2009

Yep, that’s it!  The War on Terror is Over.

Wasn’t so bad unless you were an Iraqi now was it everybody?

New changes bring us back to a 9/10 mentality.  We can only hope, that the watchers are at least, conducting a vicious legal and hidden police war against the enemy that somehow thinks, we’re weak-hearted.

This transformation started though, with the non-communicator, George Bush.

And, I understand his intent, but one of his biggest mistakes was infamously asking Americans to “get out and do some shoppin.'”

I guess it must take a Communist Community Activist to invite Americans to do something special like: act responsibly and commit to service.

I mean, if people like Eva Longoria are really “going to plant 500 trees”… if Cameron Diaz can “wave hello to more neighbors,” and if Punky Brewster can help solve Alzheimers; then America truly has been reborn and wow a lot of 19th century white men are spinning in their graves!

Seriously though, if America’s youth remembers this “pledge of service” until Valentine’s day, it would be fanstastico.  It will be even better if it precludes us from Obama’s military strength, “civilian national security force.”

However, and much more seriously, Obama has just eviscerated radical Islam’s War with the West, from normal American life, with his closure of Guantanamo Bay.

A lot of Muslims have been dining on chicken almondine down there for a while, but does anyone think the closure of Guantanamo removes radical Islam’s War With the West from their lives?

I think jihadis in deserts and caves throughout the world are poppin’ bottles and makin’ it rain.

Surely, “enhanced interrogation” techs will continue though Obama believes we won’t need them because jihadis aren’t coy enough to fool interrogators when they just stick to the Army Field Manual.

Look idiots, Muhammad is the most popular name in the world, 2nd most in England.  Mujahideen don’t even know what country they come from, why are you worried about serial numbers?  And the rank he’s going impart to you, is only going to inform your nose that something’s not right.

So then, as news that 40 Al-Qaeda ‘extremists” have succumbed to the black death and evidence suggests they were tampering with biologicals; what will happen to the individuals who haze torture a man in charge of such an attack, when the New York Times blows a whistle and shows the sleepy unkempt terrorist after his long nights listening to Kid Rock and Christina Aguilera?

How many people will have to use the Obama fail safe, “he’s not the highly decorated military man we knew?”

UPDATE: Powerline reports Said Ali al-Shihri, who was released from Guantanamo Bay a year ago, it now the number two Al Qaeda man in Yemen.

UPDATE: Yemen is also the new home of a rehab center for terrorists, 100 from Gitmo are headed there.

UPDATE: Rightwingnews links to NRO

“A week ago, former Vice President Cheney advised the incoming president to take some time and look carefully at the policies and institutions the Bush administration had put in place to protect the country before following through on campaign pledges to dismantle them. President-elect Obama said on ABC’s This Week: “I think that was pretty good advice, which is I should know what’s going on before we make judgments and that we shouldn’t be making judgments on the basis of incomplete information or campaign rhetoric.”

Less than 48 hours after taking office, Obama has begun dismantling those institutions without time for any such review. The CIA program he is effectively shutting down is the reason why America has not been attacked again after 9/11. He has removed the tool that is singularly responsible for stopping al-Qaeda from flying planes into the Library Tower in Los Angeles, Heathrow Airport, and London’s Canary Warf, and blowing up apartment buildings in Chicago, among other plots. It’s not even the end of inauguration week, and Obama is already proving to be the most dangerous man ever to occupy the Oval Office.” — Marc Thiessen at The Corner

Constitution Shredder Bush Exits Without Coup And Crackers Didn’t Riot Of The Day

20 01 2009

Wow.

America is an amazing place and this was an amazing day.

Obama isn’t the black candidate I had in mind to do this, but he means something very special to the black community and he will forever be treasured.

That’s pretty cool.

The speech was pretty much what I expected.  Maybe a little rougher on Bush than I would have liked.  And Politico is reporting the new White House site slams Bush.

That’s looking backwards if you ask me.

A few excerpts from the inaugural speech that I didn’t exactly appreciate:

“On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord…

We will restore science to its rightful place…

As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals

Know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

We are the keepers of this legacy. Guided by these principles once more...

On the flip, thanks to Obama for a few conservative talking points in his speech.  He didn’t have to do that.

In spite of directly following a fear-mongering global warming point, this was my favorite:

We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.

No thanks to the classless liberals who booed Bush/Cheney and chanted the “Nah Nah Nah Nah Goodbye” song on this day where Republicans and Democrats stood united.

Also, big loud boos to the Rev. Wright-like speech that Rev. Lowery gave.

“We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to give back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man, and when white will embrace what is right.

Ugh. When will that stop?

And, I was going to say something like this, but David Horowitz sets the bar so:

How should conservatives think about these events?

First we have to recognize and then understand that whatever happens in the Obama presidency, this Inauguration Day is a watershed moment in the history of America and a remarkable event in the history of nations, and thus a cause for all of us who love this country, conservative and liberal, Democrat and Republican, to celebrate.

Second, in order to do this as conservatives — as conservatives who have been through the culture wars — we need to get past the mixed feelings we will inevitably have as the nation marks its progress in moving away from the racial divisions and divisiveness of the past. These feelings come not from resistance to the change, but from the knowledge that this celebration should have taken place decades ago and that its delay was not least because our opponents saw political advantage in playing the race card against us and making us its slandered targets.

If we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday at a time of presidential inaugurals, this is thanks to Ronald Reagan who created the holiday, and not to the Democratic Congress of the Carter years, which rejected it. If Americans now have accepted an African American to lead their country in war and peace that is in part because an hysterically maligned Republican made two African Americans his secretaries of state. And if, after the passage of the Civil Rights Acts, race has continued to be a divisive factor in our politics over the last 40 years that is because the generation of Sharpton and Jackson and their liberal supporters have made it so.

30,000 More Troops Headed To Afghanistan

20 12 2008

To this, Obama said, “I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops are going to solve the violence there. In fact, I think it will do the reverse.”

Some other guy, named Joe Biden said, “If he surges another 20, 30 [thousand], or whatever number he’s going to, it’ll be a tragic mistake.”

Oh wait. Nevermind.

These quotes are from a while back and refer to the surge in Iraq…that won the war.

Thomas Friedman Flips His Flat World Upside Down

3 12 2008

Someday we might look back at the weeks directly after the election and marvel at how Obama won the war in Iraq so quickly.  Thank goodness the blogs announced VI-Day.

Friedman bemoans the length of America’s occupation while disregarding Iraq’s own wishes to be occupied until 2011.  Denying this mitigating factor signals his blatant partisanship and forecasts his delusional whopper that; Obama will play tough-guy with the Iraqis better than Bush; and that if we stay longer, but not too long, Obama’s given genius will help a moderate Iraq take root and give Democrats credibility on national security.  And liberals think conservatives take enormous leaps of logic and faith!

Obama is inheriting an Iraq where we have to begin drawing down our troops — because the occupation has gone on too long and because we have now committed to do so by treaty — but it is also an Iraq that has the potential to eventually tilt the Arab-Muslim world in a different direction.

I’m sure that Obama, whatever he said during the campaign, will play this smart. He has to avoid giving Iraqi leaders the feeling that Bush did — that he’ll wait forever for them to sort out their politics — while also not suggesting that he is leaving tomorrow, so they all start stockpiling weapons.

If he can pull this off, and help that decent Iraq take root, Obama and the Democrats could not only end the Iraq war but salvage something positive from it. Nothing would do more to enhance the Democratic Party’s national security credentials than that.

What else should we expect from a newspaper that’s done more to undermine the War in Iraq America than any other, outside of al-jazeera?  Even still, very disappointing stuff from such an esteemed fellow like Thomas Friedman.

Here’s a “reporter’ for NYT at his best, in field.
