A Palestinian family has killed its 15-year-old son in the West Bank after accusing him of “collaboration” with Israel.
I Beg Your Pardon, Mr. President.
4 06 2009How did that sound guys? I was kinda gunning for an Olbermann effect.
Here’s the reason for the indignation:
Back on December 5th, OOTB linked to a NYT story that Obama would deliver a major speech from an Islamic capital. Knowing that Obama would never mention honor killings and gay stonings, or remind Muslims that American blood and treasure had been recently and frequently spent in their favor, I wasn’t planning on saying anything about it.
I was prepared for placating platitudes about our aggressions and their humiliations, our selfishness and their pain. I was willing to go along for the ride in the attempt to, win hearts and minds by exaggerating the population of Muslims in America and down-playing our very obvious differences.
I didn’t even care if he credited Islam with the Renaissance (which he did).
In fact, I was totally willing to give Obama a shot at serving up some of his refined taqiyya to the throngs of non-drinkers.
But then he had to go and say this:
No. A$$hole.
The aspiration for a Jewish homeland is rooted in history, PERIOD.
It’s discussed in the Bible and fortified by archeological evidence.
Attributing the existence of a Jewish state to the infamous tragedies of the Jews, no matter how eloquently put, plays into the hands of the anti-Zionists who can henceforth relate the Holocaust to Palestinian suffering.
It is weak-minded and lazy moral relativism and I loathe it like nothing else.
- It begs the question of, why Arabs pay the price for European/Russian crimes.
- It validates the presumption that the Palestinians are native to the land, while perpetuating the notion of Jews as pathetic nomads.
- It cheapens the word, “holocaust” to the degree that Muslims believe the Jews deserve a real holocaust for imposing one and faking another. And ultimately, it does not address the issue that Islam is by nature, anti-Semitic.
- It reinforces conspiracy theorizing eugenicists like Nazis and Nation of Islamers/Black Liberation Theos, that modern Jews are fake Jews who stole Judaism.
So thanks for nothing Mr. Prez.
Related:
Atlas, who informs us that the despicable “Muslim Brotherhood” invited Obama to Egypt, has a pretty extensive post about the speech and it’s worth a look. She also has interesting news about how Obama’s keeping us safe in her highly readable stories about Eric Holder giving special protection to Muslims in America, and Obama ordering law enforcement agencies to back off counterterror investigations of Muslim-American converts.
Ed Morrissey at Hotair.com was pleasantly surprised and has solid links!
Instapundit with a classic one-liner:
They told me that if I voted for McCain, we’d get a President whose speeches on Islam were praised at Hot Air and criticized at the HuffPo. And they were right!
The Daily Beast has a column that teaches you how to write your own Obama speech. Check this excoriating **** OUT!
And here’s a nice video with instructions on how to properly boycott Israel should you desire, brought to you by, Islam in Action:

This New Intel Chairman Guy Seems Loyal, To China And Saudi Arabia.
6 03 2009I’m guessing Ayers and Rev. Wright would really dig Chas Freeman’s intelligence estimates, given this snapshot:
- He thinks China was “overly cautious” in putting down the pro-democracy rally at Tiananmen Square.
- He has said, “Israel no longer even pretends to seek peace with the Palestinians.”
- Was president of the Middle East Policy Council (MEPC), a Saudi lobby group which published an “unabridged” version of “The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy,” a controversial 2006 essay that argued American Jews have a “stranglehold” on the U.S. Congress, which they employ to tilt the U.S. toward Israel at the expense of broader American interests.
- Has reportedly called out Jewish Senate staffers even in meetings not related to Israel, calling them “you people” and questioning their loyalty to America.
- He’s basically a de facto employee of Saudi Arabia and an apparent panderer to its demands. In exchange, he received lavish support for the research center he headed and lucrative contracts for the consulting firm that he founded to guide international companies into finding royal family-connected partners within the Saudi elite.
- Chas said, “The primary reason America confronts a terrorism problem today, is the brutal oppression of the Palestinians by an Israeli occupation that is about to mark its fortieth anniversary and shows no sign of ending.”
- Mr. Freeman peddled a Saudi funded textbook to American public schools which contained fabrications and propaganda such as: “Muslims found America long before Christians”; the “question of Jewish lobbying” against “American interests and concerns”; and suggested the Quran “synthesizes and perfects earlier revelations.”
- A report by the Center for Security Policy identified Freeman as a member of the so-called Iran lobby group, which has been pressing the United States to lift sanctions from and reconcile with the regime in Tehran. In a Feb. 25 report authored by Clare Lopez, the center cited Freeman’s signature on a petition in 2006 for the Bush administration to improve relations with Iran without preconditions.
- He’s on the board of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, or CNOOC, owned by the Chinese government that is in the midst of a multibillion dollar Iranian oil deal with which may be a violation of U.S. sanctions against doing business with Iran.
- In 2005, CNOOC made a staggering, all-cash $18.5 billion offer to buy the American oil company Unocal, topping an earlier bid by ChevronTexaco. Immediately, lawmakers and many policy experts, including a broad array of Democrats and Republicans in Congress, mounted a major opposition campaign to the bid, urging the Bush administration to have the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. determine how the deal would affect national security.
- Arakan Oil Watch, a human rights organization, issued a report accusing CNOOC last October of human rights abuses and land theft in an oil prospecting venture in Burma. The accusations came less than a month after the U.S.-based EarthRights International expressed concern about China’s increasing grip on Burma’s natural resources, including through CNOOC’s ventures. The accusations against CNOOC, with Freeman on its board, ranged from land seizure to wanton pollution of rice fields and water systems with oil waste.
- Chas also has long standing ties to the Bin Laden family in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Freeman’s nomination does not need Senate approval but hopefully he’s stopped before he gets a chance to help Obama wipe out Israel.
UPDATE: Hot Air is on it.

Israel Gives Medicine. Arabs Load Explosives. Give Back!
13 02 2009This is NOT a case of ‘giving someone a dose of their own medicine.’
Medicine bottles, transferred to the Gaza Strip as humanitarian aid by Israel, were used by Hamas as grenades against IDF troops during Operation Cast Lead. The medicine bottles were filled with explosives, holes were drilled in the caps, and fuses were installed. Once Hamas fighters lit the fuses, they had several seconds to throw the grenades at soldiers. The IDF also found small explosive devices that used medical syringes to hold their fuses.
UPDATE: Flashback…Hamas dresses up as doctors and nurses and fights from hospitals

Dhimmi Carter: “Hamas Can Be Trusted” Jews Cannot
26 01 2009This filth was warned by the Bush Administration not to talk with Hamas, has done so repeatedly and is now taking his message to other anti-Israel crowds, like NBC.
He could have gone to CBS as Atlas illustrates 60Minutes’ “anti-Jewish blood libels” from last night’s propaganda show.
Carter glowed, “perhaps most important, there is an overwhelming common desire for peaceful and prosperous lives among the citizens of Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt.”
Somebody tell the Jewhater that Muslims in the region aren’t exactly desiring prosperity and have diagnosed the Jews’ problem. Nasrallah sums it up:
Another weakness is that both as individuals and as a collective,
they are described by Allah as “the people who guard their lives most.”
Their strong adherence to this world, with all its vanities and
pleasures, constitutes a weakness. In contrast, our people and our nation’s willingness to sacrifice
their blood, souls, children, fathers, and families for the sake of the
nation’s honor, life, and happiness has always been one of our nation’s
strengths.
