The Rigors Of A Day In The Life Of A Liberal

27 05 2009

This yesterday morning, America woke up to an inspiring press conference with Obama, his teleprompter, and the likely next Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotomayor.

Most liberals were thrilled when they saw her name.  Not because they necessarily knew her, but because they were totally pumped when they deduced that she must be a female and an ethnic one. They were even more psyched when they found out she wasn’t some Uncle Tom when the blogs reported that she had said:

“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

That type of prejudice and stereotyping is right in the deranged liberal wheelhouse, but unfortunately it’s unconstitutional and it reeks of judicial activism.  Of course this fits directly into Obama’s own radical viewpoint and was easily predicted if only you paid attention to what he’s said:

We need somebody who’s got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it’s like to be a young teenage mom…The empathy to understand what it’s like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old.  And that’s the criteria by which I’m going to be selecting my judges.”

You’d think a brilliant Constitutional lawyer lecturer would know better, wouldn’t you?

Me too, but maintaining congruent arguments is always a challenge for liberals and by lunch time on this awesome day, they had to completely flip their script when Prop 8 was upheld in California and same-sex marriage remained banned, in part because of differences between genders.

Instantly, they had to switch from admitting (if not boasting) that the genders are not the same, to insisting that they indeed are, and that anyone who disagrees is a hater and a homophobe.

Such is the difficulty of day to day life when suffering from a mental disorder.

Thomas Sowell on judicial “empathy:

People who are speculating about whether the next nominee will be a woman, a Hispanic or whatever, are missing the point.  That we are discussing the next Supreme Court justice in terms of group “representation” is a sign of how far we have already strayed from the purpose of law and the weighty responsibility of appointing someone to sit for life on the highest court in the land.

Would you want to go into court to appear before a judge with “empathy” for groups A, B and C, if you were a member of groups X, Y or Z? Nothing could be further from the rule of law. That would be bad news, even in a traffic court, much less in a court that has the last word on your rights under the Constitution of the United States.

Appoint enough Supreme Court justices with “empathy” for particular groups and you would have, for all practical purposes, repealed the 14th Amendment, which guarantees “equal protection of the laws” for all America.

We would have entered a strange new world, where everybody is equal but some are more equal than others. The very idea of the rule of law would become meaningless when it is replaced by the empathies of judges

Barack Obama solves this contradiction, as he solves so many other problems, with rhetoric. If you believe in the rule of law, he will say the words “rule of law.” And if you are willing to buy it, he will keep on selling it.

Those people who just accept soothing words from politicians they like are gambling with the future of a nation. If you were German, would you be in favor of a law “to relieve the distress of the German people and nation”? That was the law that gave Hitler dictatorial power.

UPDATE: Was Justice Benjamin Cardozo, the first “hispanic” on the SCOTUS?

Illinois Governor Arrested. Calls Obama “MFer.”

In yet another example of inherent government corruption and liberal media bias, Rod Blagojevich has been arrested for rank cronyism as he attempted to defile the democratic process and get compensated for filling Obama’s vacant Senate seat. The FBI caught him saying a senate seat, “is a f^%$#*g valuable thing, you just don’t give it away for nothing.”

Goes to show you the political environment Obama mastered.

Big media naturally avoided his Democrat party label, as they almost always do, in their ongoing pursuit to brainwash the masses that, only the Repubs are the “party of corruption.”

Also missing from any “reporter’s” work?

Any mention of Barack Obama’s implied bribes to Blago, which sent the Governor into a profanity-laced tirade that was captured on FBI wiretaps.  They also neglected to mention the triumverate’s previously unearthed ties of Blago, Obama, and his ally; infamous scumbag slumlord, Tony Rezko.

From Newsbusters.org

Post facto thought: doesn’t Ross’s piece indicate that Obama was actually involved in this pay for play? Read this section again (emphasis added):

The FBI affidavit said Blagojevich had been told by an adviser “the President-elect can get ROD BLAGOJEVICH’s wife on paid corporate boards in exchange for naming the President-elect’s pick to the Senate.”

Doesn’t that suggest Blago, or someone in his office, was told by someone affiliated with Obama that if he appoints Obama’s pick, his wife will be placed on paid corporate boards?

Doesn’t that mean the president-elect offered a sitting governor a de facto bribe to appoint the Senator he supports?

Think this will get a lot of media attention and scrutiny?

Hell to the no.

Are These The “Useful Idiots” Lenin Spoke Of?

This 10 minute video shows brainwashed liberals who know absolutely nothing about the candidates.  At least they have hope!  And I’m confident that once they reach 65% of the populace while being addicted to government entitlements, they’ll start being a bit more bipartisan and consider becoming conservatives. Thanks mainstream media, public education, and Hollywood!

UGH. Depressing.

Out Damn’d Spot, Out Obama Says!

Liberals have hatefully fear mongered maintained for years that the Bush Administration would mimic a police state by; manipulating the media, censoring negative information, bringing back the draft, persecuting dissenting voices, breaking campaign promises, infringing on the constitution, hiding relevant evidence any time it was convenient, and cherry picking irrelevant evidence to bolster its arguments.

Curious ironies are already being revealed by ‘Office of the President Elect,” who may easily surpass Bush for totalitarian maneuverings.  During the campaign, Obama routinely scrubbed his website without update, after Atlasshrugs.com and Littlegreenfootballs.com frequently exposed his anti-American connections and initiatives.

Today, National Review alerted us that they are on to his, “down the memory hole” ways and promised a full report soon.  Conversely, the “big, corporate” media promised a story about Dubya’s doomed legacy and Obama’s undershirt preferences.  And for their favor, received $139 Billion.
