India: Girls In Jeans Are Totally Asking For It.

11 06 2009

Blog of Hilarity links to this AFP story:

Colleges in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh said Wednesday that female students would be banned from wearing jeans and other Western clothes to halt sexual harassment by male classmates.

“Girls who choose to wear jeans will be expelled from the college,” Meeta Jamal, principal of the Dayanand girls’ college in Kanpur city told AFP. “This is the only way to stop crime against women.”

A growing number of colleges in Uttar Pradesh have decided to outlaw jeans, shorts, tight blouses and miniskirts on campus in an attempt to crack down on “Eve-teasing” — as sexual harassment is known in India.

In other news, many Muslim countries have unofficially banned clitorises (clitori?) because they transform men into crazed rapists and women need protection from the advances of said men, who are better than women, but are nonetheless incapable of suppressing their primal desires.

Over to Chingy, Jermaine Durpi and Ginuwine for some songs about soon-to-be assaulted trollops and their sexy denims.

The Rabbi’s Wife Was Expecting

3 12 2008

After learning they were tortured for hours because they were Jewish, I wasn’t sure the news could get worse.

It has.  And it looks like 2 year old, Moshe, was beaten by the drugged up Islamo-savages.

Atlas has more.  Go cry. It’s the least you can do.

We did.

Trend Or Mirage?

A Muslim graveyard in the heart of Mumbai has broken with Islamic tradition and refused to bury the bodies of nine terrorists who were killed during the attack on India’s financial capital.

Ten “Suspected Gunmen” Paralyze City Of 19Million

30 11 2008

It seems there might have been only 10 terrorists in the most recent Mumbai attacks. If true, it’s not only lucky, as thousands could have died from a larger assault, but it’s a serious embarrassment for the Indian military.  This report suggests policemen within shooting range, neglected to fire at the terrorists during the rampage.  I have a feeling legally armed citizens in Texas could have settled a similar threat faster than the 3 days it took India.  Just don’t go expecting any corporate media outlets to start pushing “conceal to carry” laws.

This story should remind everyone about the damage a small unit of terrorists can inflict on open societies where neighborly trust and commerce prevail.  I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that liberals continue to misdiagnose the problem.  Half the time, they argue that Al-Qaeda is disorganized and that the threat is overblown.  The other half, when at least admitting a problem, think it’s a police matter and not a military one.

To those who hold either mindset, you need to understand that just because Al-Qaeda means, “the base,” doesn’t mean they have 8:00am conference calls with every one of the tens of millions of radicalized Muslims on the planet.  You are correct though.  There is indeed something that binds Al Qaeda with these people.  A way for them to all be united and informed.  A tacit understanding that motivates and guides them.  A manual for life and a handbook with all the answers.  Figure it out. Besides, you don’t agree with profiling or wiretaps anyways, and this is an international issue being financed in Saudi Arabia and Iran.  So beyond good old “blue” diligently supporting Uncle Sam, the only local involvement we suggest is a capable Americanization plan for new immigrants.

By the way, the headline was a derived from a real quote made by an international wire service with a diseased, leftist agenda.

Melanie Phillips lays it out in her, “Reverting to type” piece.  And as usual, Mark Steyn drives it home as well in his, “Just another front.”

Somali Pirates Paid 1.1Million To Release Ship. Steal More Expensive Version; Really Enjoy This Game!

19 11 2008

Babies throw food and toys on the ground sometimes.  When you pick it up and give it back to them, they usually throw it again.  Most humans will only fall for this once.  Right?!

Such is the world we live in, where illogic reigns.  Dismissal of natural law seems to be the norm.  And so, the world, in it’s current state of technological wonder, somehow cannot defeat PIRATES!!!  I mean, I get that the Pirates have a Navy; but do they have an Air Force?  Can we not turn the heat up in Eyl, Somalia, to 25,000 degrees?  Anyways, now they’ve got themselves and the ummah an oil supertanker!  What will they take next and where arrrrrrrrrgh the copycat pirates?

I’m going to go out on a limb here and blame liberalism.  Not just for the fun of it and because it’s so obviously true, but because more and more of these repercussions of the denial of natural law (eg. animals responding to incentives & punishments) are occurring.  Liberalism often relies on a paradigm shift away from common knowledge of normal life experience, in order to stay a relevant, incubate new voters, and in general, not be conservatism.  Eventually, most of their well-intended ideas blow up in our faces.  I thought they’d be the first to know, nature has a way of prevailing.

Well, the pirates seem to get the game.  And I doubt they think men and women are identically the same.

Please indulge in the coverage.  Especially the strange case of the Somali pirates who boosted an Iranian ship and died from what appeared to be radiation sickness.

And see THIS fantastic piece for America’s history with Muslim Pirates…”From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli.

UPDATE: If you can wade through the standard, “blame America for overthrowing the Islamic rule in Somalia and creating a vacuum of poverty and chaos which caused all this,” then you should read the rest of this article detailing another seized ship.  The gist:

“The hijack, the seventh in 12 days, took place near the Yemeni coast, underscoring the new tactic of evading foreign warships by simply sailing beyond their area of operation.  Operations undertaken by the coalition fleet are fraught with legal difficulties, ranging from restrictive rules of engagement to rights of habeas corpus, as the British Navy discovered…There is a knock-on effect for consumers in this,” said Clive Washbourn, head of the marine division at Beazley, the specialist Lloyd’s insurer.  “If the amount of attacks and ransoms increases then insurance rates will have to rise. Ship owners will always pass on additional costs to the companies charting ships. They, in turn, will pass costs on to consumers.”

So, since they take Iranian ships and pretty much everyone else’s too, is there a way out of this that might allow for some cooperation with other nations…other than under the UN?  Can we somehow orchestrate so they keep messing with Iran?

UPDATE: India sinks Somalian Pirateship!
