JewTube To Show Depravity Of Palestinians. Will YouTube Censor As Usual?

From Newsbusters

In an obvious attempt to counter the typically anti-Israeli sentiment prevalent throughout the international media whenever Israel defends itself, the Israel Defense Forces launched its own YouTube channel Monday.

As most impartial Americans are aware, old and new media were used against Israel in 2006 to foment international criticism of its attacks on Lebanon not the least of which was a Reuters photographer caught doctoring pictures.

With this in mind, as reported by the Jerusalem Post Tuesday, the IDF plans on being much more proactive this time in making the international community completely aware of what’s really going on with Israel’s recent military response in the Gaza Strip (video example embedded right):

What good does it do to show the same Palestinian on 6 or 7 different gurneys and IDF videos of rocket launchers located on kindergarten playgrounds?

Over at Israel Matzav:

YouTube takes down IDF’s most popular videos

Yesterday, the IDF opened a YouTube account.

I just got an email indicating that because YouTube has removed the IDF’s most popular videos, the IDF spokesperson’s office has opened an account at LiveLeak instead.

Noah Pollak has more.

This was apparently too much for YouTube, which moments ago removed several videos from the IDF’s channel, including the most-watched video, which showed a group of Hamas goons being blown up in an air strike as they loaded Katyusha missiles onto a truck. The point of such footage, as if it needed to be said, is not to revel in violence — it is to show the legitimacy of Israeli self-defense.

The rank double-standard that YouTube has applied to Israel is disturbing. YouTube hosts all manner of similar footage — much of it far more gory than the grainy infrared images posted by the IDF — of U.S. air strikes. Why is YouTube capitulating to those who do not wish for Israel to be able to tell its side of the story?

Why am I not surprised?
In any event, LiveLeak is much more willing to post non-PC material, and I will try to do my part to get the word out.

israelis self defense?
massacre is NOT self defense
killing over 1400 people in less than a month is NOT self defense
breaking cease-fires is NOT self defense
give me a break…Israel just wants to kill people and use self defense as an excuse..
they dont even have anything to defend themselves from
Its true Hamas has been firing rockets for the past 7 years but how much damage do these rockets cause?
During the 7 years only 12 people, during that same amount of time 4,000 israelis have died from car accidents. But Israel still used that as a reason to bomb Gaza.
Because of these 12 deaths Israel thinks it can bomb the open air prison known as Gaza and kill over 1400 people.
Israel continually violates International law. Disproportionality is a term from International law. Israel has been defying International law agreements and International decisions from 1967. One of these decisions is that Israel must return these Palestinian territories. Israel has been maintaining and holding onto these territories through violent means.
The right to self defense is the right to self defense from violence. The occupation itself is a violence. Its an act of violence. Putting people in a prison, a prison of one and a half million people and keeping them there for years on end without basic food, without allowing them to enter and exit when they will is an act of violence. Without electricity without clean water, its all an act of violence. The Palestinians are resisting. You have to look at their violence versus the Isreali-US violence.
Gaza is still under occupation because Israel controls all of its borders and the West Bank is under occupation, and East Jerusalem is under occupation.
And the act–the first official act of violence is the occupation.
The rockets are a reaction to that act of violence. This is not between a state and another state. Its between the occupier and an occupied.
It was Israel that broke the cease fire on November 4th, 2008 when it attacked in the Gaza Strip. Israel broke the cease fire first. Israel is the one that commits the acts of terrorism. Yes Hamas is fighting from a civilian population but Israel has the choice whether its going to bomb the civilian population or not and its intentionally deciding to bomb the civilian population. So in terms of intentions Israel is the one acting like a terrorist state.
If your definition of terrorism doesnt take into account the identity of the actor-and state actors can also be terrorists- then when you bomb a school or bomb a university and when you bomb a neighborhood and youre killing much more civilians than militants then youre doing something that is an act of terror.
There are only two reasons behind Israel’s attack on Gaza.
1) Rebuilding the reputation of the Israeli milirary after its humiliation in 2006 in Lebanon
2) The upcoming Israeli elections.
Hamas is the elected government of the Palestinian people. We dont need to like them but they are the elected government and we need to sit down and talk with them and not bomb them because that isnt going to help anything. It will just create more violence.
Israel has to be willing to talk to its enemies even with people that say they do not believe in the existance of Israel.
If we start negotiating with Hamas over the years they will agree to the existance of Israel and will be willing to live side by side with them.
If Israel doesnt talk with Hamas the violence will continue and Israel will be destroyed because the technological edge Israel has over Palestine will not be meaningful.
Israel will have to change its approach. The only way Israel will exist hundreds of years from now is if Israel makes peace with Syria, Lebanon, and with the Palestinian people
