The Open Borders crowd is awfully quiet huh?
Just wait until white people start calling it the Mexican Flu.
Truthfully, they’re just afraid hospitals might become more loaded with illegal aliens and college spring breakers, and Americans might start to question some other costs of our third-world southern neighbors who were on the brink of collapse before this potential mess even started.
I wouldn’t worry if I were them.
Recently, a liberal friend warned me about the dangers of global population and resource depletion. He was nearly apocalyptic about oil, water, land, food…everything. He insisted that Mother Nature was already rebelling and that the economic crisis was just another symptom. He was really good at playing a Buddhist-type vibe that stressed the, “big picture” and the Butterfly Effect.
Just don’t ask him if American: schools, highways, hospitals, insurance claims, prisons or elections are affected whatsoever by illegal aliens.
But enough about liberalism as a mental disorder. Let’s talk about how this conservative thinks we should follow Europe’s lead on this one!

The policy was in effect since Saturday at continental Europe’s second-busiest airport, after Charles de Gaulle in Paris.
Governments in Asia — with potent memories of SARS and avian flu outbreaks — heeded the warning amid global fears of a pandemic.
Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines dusted off thermal scanners used in the 2003 SARS crisis and were checking for signs of fever among passengers from North America. South Korea and Indonesia introduced similar screening.
In Malaysia, health workers in face masks took the temperatures of passengers as they arrived on a flight from Los Angeles.
Russia, Hong Kong and Taiwan said visitors returning from flu-affected areas with fevers would be quarantined.
Australian Health Minister Nicola Roxon said pilots on international flights would be required to file a report noting any flu-like symptoms among passengers before being allowed to land in Australia.
China said anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms within two weeks of arrival had to report to authorities.
India will start screening people arriving from Mexico, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Spain, Britain and France for flu-like symptoms, said Vineet Chawdhry, a top Health Ministry official. It also will contact people who have arrived from Mexico and other affected countries in the past 10 days to check for the symptoms, he said.
Meanwhile, America has done nothing to protect its citizens but at least we’re insulated from Mexico by Obamair. And Obama is happy because he hasn’t had to offend the millions of illegal aliens who helped elect him and other Democrats.

By now, you know Obama released some Bush memos (and photos?) regarding harsh interrogation methods, and boy do they sound horrific. Maybe you have even been forced to confront these shocking techniques if you’ve come across liberal protesters water-boarding each other in the middle of the street…

This paranoia is something I share with liberals, who elected Obama in large part because he pledged to restore our Constitutional rights of privacy and ditch the power-grabbing Police State model while declassifying Bush’s previously stonewalled perversions so that we could heal.
However, it seems Obama is turning out to be potentially far more invasive than Bush, and even a few liberals (outside the corporate msm) are noticing.

But then he went along with amendments to FISA that legalized such surveillance, even giving in on the issue of retroactive immunity for the telecommunications companies that facilitated it. Now The New York Times reports that the National Security Agency has been abusing its new statutory powers, collecting purely domestic communications along with the international phone calls and email messages covered by the FISA amendments:
Several intelligence officials, as well as lawyers briefed about the matter, said the N.S.A. had been engaged in “overcollection” of domestic communications of Americans. They described the practice as significant and systemic, although one official said it was believed to have been unintentional.
Meanwhile, the Obama administration is trying to quash an Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) lawsuit aimed at holding Bush administration officials responsible for warrantless surveillance conducted prior to the FISA amendments, surveillance that Obama himself has said was illegal. It argues that allowing the lawsuit to proceed would harm national security—a claim frequently made by the Bush administration, which Obama has criticized as excessively secretive. Obama’s Justice Department has gone even further than the Bush administration, arguing that the PATRIOT Act immunizes government officials who participate in illegal surveillance, except when ”the Government obtains information about a person through intelligence-gathering, and Government agents unlawfully disclose that information.”
The Atlantic’s, Marc Ambinder has something on Bush’s favorite loophole, the state secrets privilege:
The Obama administration suffered a bit of a legal setback this afternoon: a federal judge in California rejected the administration’s assertion of the state secrets privilege in the civil suit brought by an Islamic charity that was allegedly subjected to illegal NSA surveillance.

A new study conducted by researchers at Michigan State University suggests that playing video games helps foster the development of visual-spatial skills among middle school students. Cultivating the ability to think visually is crucial to excelling in fields like engineering and surgery, and the hand-eye coordination attained through gaming is increasingly important in our digital world. But the total lack of games tailored to girls could be providing boys with an academic advantage over their female counterparts.
“Girls are at a disadvantage by not having that three-dimensional experience,” according to a statement by professor Linda Jackson, who led the three-year long study. “So when they get to medical school and they’re doing surgery in the virtual world, they’re not used to it.”
That’s it. It’s the game-maker’s faults. They’re chauvinists. It has nothing to do with boys and girls being different (even if the sum of their parts are equal).

A brave journalist journalism school grad attended the 2009 Saint Paul Tea Party.
He sent the following summary to the local fish-wrap factories (Star Tribune and Pioneer Press), but they didn’t run it because they didn’t want to be liable for any potential, ensuing, hate crimes and none of the female protesters had hairy armpits.
Here’s what he reported:
As most Americans were patriotically paying their taxes, the Minnesota State Capitol building, built for $4.5 million in 1905, hosted a swarm of Christian gun-owners, many of whom were vehemently anti-Obama, for unknown reasons.
The rabble-rousing, anti-tax, legions were noticeably homogeneous, save for this proud, rainbow-flag waving onlooker, seen to the left of an irate, radical, misogynist, anti-abortion activist.
Throngs of these people came to the city from rural areas and were united by their fear of change and their Scandanavian, German and Irish roots.
In a city that boasts fantastic immigrant populations, it’s clear that many could feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed as Old Glory was aggressively waved and nationalist cries of “USA! USA! USA!” echoed through the land like the morning call to prayer from a Muezzin in Damascus.
But in the end, none of these so-called, ‘Tea Parties’ rivaled the huge crowds we saw last fall, when the first African-American President rekindled the nation’s democratic spirit in his rise to the White House.

Obama finally found a group of enemies that are immune to “smart diplomacy” and worthy of his unbridled scorn and divisiveness.

Atlas was the first to uncover the Administration’s leaked DHS assessment on “Rightwing Extremism.”
It’s liberal McCarthyism b^!!$%*^, and I found it to be pretty insensitive to Caucasians.
Whites in particular were singled out by the report, which alerted national law enforcement agencies about: stressed out war vets (not John Kerry style vets I’m guessing), crackers enraged by a black President, and xenophobic hillbillies agitated by surging Latino populations.

If an Ivy League educated, 26 year old Muslim man blew up a casino while screaming verses from the Quran, liberals would attribute it to job-loss and high interest rates on his HELOC. Then, they’d blame rightwing CEOs, and rightwing wars for oil.
The flip side of this saga also comes from Atlas with her penetrating post in response to Obama’s flaccid words that we, “respect Islam even when we disagree.” In one of her best columns, she points to: honor killings, anti-Semitism, child abuse, gay stonings, clitorectomies and other lovely multicultural fruits of Islam, that we apparently, “respect.”
This dangerous stream of liberal thinking ends up cascading over a rocky cliff as the highly imitable, uber-progressives in Europe recently showed when an openminded and tolerant German court ruled that, “Muslims have a different understanding of rape than Europeans and that must taken into account.
So typical of a modern liberal to make nice with self-avowed enemies while demonizing America’s defenders.
There’s little doubt that Obama will soon utilize his Communist/Alinsky training on America’s truest Patriots by “picking a target, freezing it, personalizing it, and polarizing it.”
Why he couldn’t have exported these strategies to marginalize and ostracize Islamic fundamentalists extremists conservatives is beyond me…he just won’t use his tremendous skills to actually help America become more powerful because he doesn’t believe that truly helps Americans.

The Obama administration is again invoking government secrecy in defending the Bush administration’s wiretapping program, this time against a lawsuit by AT&T customers who claim federal agents illegally intercepted their phone calls and gained access to their records.
Kevin Bankston of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a lawyer for the customers, said Monday the filing was disappointing in light of the Obama presidential campaign’s “unceasing criticism of Bush-era secrecy and promise for more transparency.”
In February Obama lawyers used the same “state secrets” tactic to block a lawsuit brought by the ACLU on behalf of five victims of extraordinary rendition — the CIA’s famed kidnap and torture program. “This case cannot be litigated,” Department of Justice lawyer Douglas Letter declared on February 9th, arguing that the case, Mohamed et al. v. Jeppesen Dataplan, should be thrown out. “The judges shouldn’t play with fire in this national security situation.”
ACLU director Anthony Romero decried the move. “Eric Holder’s Justice Department stood up in court today and said that it would continue the Bush policy of invoking state secrets to hide the reprehensible history of torture, rendition and the most grievous human rights violations committed by the American government.”
Now, warrantless spying can be added to the list.
”In our case we have no reason to believe that the warrantless wiretapping has ended,” said [EFF legal director Cindy] Cohn, “so at some point we have to call it Obama’s warrantless wiretapping.”

George Bush’s critics rightly roasted him for his tortured syntax and waterboarded grammar, and used it to make the claim that the graduate of both Harvard and Yale was an idiot. Well, perhaps, but I don’t recall him ever claiming that Austrian was a language. It takes a highly-esteemed intellect, it seems, to miss the fact that Austrians mainly speak German.

At this point, you can easily see that Obama thinks the world is better off with a neutered America who sits as an equal partner at an international roundtable of sorts.
Lawyers have an obligation to be aggressive advocates for their clients as Obama surely knows. However, since he’s been entirely drenched in Marxism and Leftism, he believes that embarrassing us, risking American lives, and ceding American independence, is simply part of the bitter medicine we must swallow down, to atone for past national transgressions and acquire a certain global homeostasis.
The modern liberal believes that America is the world’s greatest obstacle to justice and peace. Meaning, an America that is not self-interested, will insure American’s lives will be bettered even if they sacrifice greatly and individually, because the greater good will be served.
